That is what I dislike in regards to the system: issues like “act below stress” are so broad as to be virtually meaningless, and could be shoehorned into nearly any scenario. This could get outdated actually quick.

Most followers of the system I’ve spoken to hate issues like “act below stress” and equally broad strikes. And whereas MotW principally will get away with it, different early PbtA video games are largely disparaged partially as a result of their relaince on that kind of transfer.

Along with catchall strikes, most of the early video games have strikes much like “Sweep” or “Bull’s Cost” or others that resemble feat/energy utilization in D&D, as an alternative of strikes that rely upon fictional positioning and intent.
